Parent of a high school sophomore or junior? There are two things you should do today to help your child begin the college search
Here’s what a 10 month complete student transformation looks like
Written by Jack Delehey on October 29th, 2021
Remember the Stanley family?
That’s them. I’ve highlighted them a couple of times this year. Jameson and Judd (upper right) are two of my students and, last weekend, I got to meet up with them in person for the first time.
I may have been squinting far too much for this photo to be posted on the internet, but it was a great moment nonetheless.

After I said goodbye, I had a brief moment of reflection on just how much our relationship has grown over this past year.

Just 10 months ago, on January 22nd, Dawn submitted the following survey to my inbox:
As you can see, Jameson was “just beginning the college process” as a high school junior. He didn’t have a school list yet, and didn’t quite know where to start.

Fast forward 10 months later, and here’s where the Stanley family is positioned:
  • Jameson has a rock solid school list balancing Safety, Probable, Target, and Reach schools. He feels confident in his list.
  • Jameson has finished the Common Application, including the all-important Common App Personal Statement. While the rest of his peers are grinding through this in preparation for early-window applications, Jameson has been finished with it since early-fall.
  • Jameson’s younger brother, Judd, saw Jameson’s transformation and wanted to get involved...so he joined my program, too.
  • With his extra time & confidence, Jameson, Judd, and their mother, Dawn have been able to visit schools this fall and actually enjoy the trips! Oh and one of those trips just led them to be able to say hi to that red headed college coach guy they hired...
There have of course been many steps along the way to get to this moment...but none of the steps were overwhelming, difficult, or overly complex.

Instead, they were simple, actionable, organized, and (dare I say it) fun?!

If you want to give your high school child the feeling of tremendous confidence over the next 2-4 high school years, instead of watching them struggle to figure college planning all out on their own, don’t hesitate to reach out (or pass the link onto a family who could use it!).

You, too, can experience this type of transformation--from “Where do we start?” to tremendous college confidence--in just 10 months.

Happy college planning,
-Jack
P.S. - I’ve had this policy forever, but have decided to start making it more public. For the last 12 years, I have had, and will continue to have a 100% no-questions-asked money back guarantee policy that lasts for the lifetime of my entire program. I want all families who work with me to know how confident I am in what I do. And I want my publicly-displayed policies to represent this confidence.

If at any time while working with me, any family member says “I’ve had enough of that curly-haired red headed guy”...I will send back 100% of your investment, zero questions asked. That’s my guarantee...and will be my guarantee for as long as I run this company.
